With summertime blockbusting done for this year let’s look forward to the top summer movies of 2013. The glum-free line-up features the usual mix of sequels (The Wolverine), prequels (Monsters University), remakes (Man of Steel), big screen adaptations (Lone Ranger) and original fare (Pacific Rim).

1. After Earth (2013)
Plot Summary: One thousand years after cataclysmic events forced humanity's escape from Earth, Nova Prime has become mankind's new home.
